Troops and Supporting them...

So it has been a while since I have blogged but I am back. I have been super busy lately. Anyhow I have an objective to this blog, and it has come to my attention that more and more people every day do not support the troops, and it truly sickens me. It is simply disgusting at how many people are against the troops. I come from a long line of people who serve, and people who I hold very dear in my heart serve. SO MANY PEOPLE are objective to the troops being over seas and not supporting them but all to often do they forget that  they didn't ask for this war. They are just doing a job they were given, as they stand up and protect your rights.

Freedom is NEVER FREE

Someone Paid the Price, so you can be free.
Another Flag is handed to a loved one, and hearts break.
** Remember**
It is the Soldier, NOT the Reporter who has given us the freedom of the Press
It is the Soldier, NOT the Poet that has given us the freedom of Speech
It is the Soldier, NOT the Campus Organizer that has given us the freedom to demonstrate
It is the Soldier, NOT the Lawyer who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the SOLDIER who SALUTES the flag, SERVES the flag, and who's COFFIN is Draped by the FLAG who gives the protester the right to burn the flag...

Another 31 lost, 31 dreaded knocks from unwanted visitors, 31 families with shattered hearts, 31 pairs of boots lined up with rifles, dog tags & helmets, 31 comrades remembered & grieved for, 31 funerals, 31 names recieve their final roll call, 31 empty places at the table, 31 souls who gave their all & leave a void. Take 31 seconds to re-post while pausing to reflect on the sacrifice as 31 are gone forever.31 MORE reasons 4 our military 2 return home.Praying for "OUR" Service Men and Women!!!
So please remember why the troops are doing what they do. Remember 9/11 ? Or have you forgotten. What about every other thing in the past that the Troops have fought for ? Or have you forgotten ? Why is it that people only seem to remember days like 9/11 on a holiday, like memorial day, and 9/11? what about the other days of the year ?? do you know that there are 4 Federal holidays that people start to show their patriotism. EVERYDAY EVERYONE SHOULD SHOW THEIR PATRIOTISM!

you would be surprised how many people wont stop to thank a service member. I know I do. I will shake their hand and say thank you. because to me everything they are doing means the world to me.
so next time your out and about in the store or something and you see a soldier, stop and thank them for their service, and don't forget the sacrifice their fellow soldiers, sailors, air men, and marines have made for you.

when you see "another service member" was killed in action on the news stop everything your doing, say a prayer for the family, because that service member is someones little boy or baby girl, someones aunt or uncle, a brother or sister, and a mom or dad. they could have been your neighbor, or someone you crossed paths with. their sacrifice shouldn't affect just the family and friends they have. it should affect you to.
Until They ALL are home, Families My heart goes out to you and your deployed.
To all the Service members, past, present and future, THANK YOU! with all of my heart.

***TO ANY PERSON WHO DISAGREES WITH ME AND MY POST*** if you don't like it Deal with it. I am using my right to freedom of speech. You know the one that the soldier gave to me and protects ? Please do not leave hateful comments on blog, my twitter, or my facebook. This is my right and I am expressing it!

Thank you and have a nice day :)

Girls night, 4th of july, freak storms and family!

Well, Girls night was a Flop, but we have rescheduled and were hoping and praying for a better one the second go around. It was originally an Alice in Wonderland theme, but the new theme is a costume party. I guess we will be celebrating Holloween a bit early :D Luna and I are both hoping this one is much better than the last! did get some cute pictures of the two girls that did show :D

So Girls night was not a total loss, I still got some cute shots :D Luna and Alicia were great models :D some are most certainly going into my portfolio on my website
Now onto the fourth of July! It was really awesome! I spent it with my amazing boyfriend and his friends and family! we had a BBQ, in which i prepared 10 lbs of potato salad, 5 dozen deviled eggs, Hormell Chilli bean dip, and Baked beans! I had alot of fun! after the BBQ my boyfriend, his friend and I all went to the top of the Good Samaritan's Hospital parking Structure to watch Fire Works! We got to see 4 or 5 different shows from were we were and then we watched an Arizona Storm Roll in!
awesome fire works right ??

Ok, so speaking of Arizona storms, ( for those of you that heard about it) Phoenix had Tornadoes touching down all over the Valley a few years back, I think it was in 2009, or remember the Freak hailstorm in October 2010?? you know the one that covered most of the Valley of the Sun, Hail chunks ranging from small pebble sizes to Softball sizes ?? ok anyhow... July 5, 2011... Phoenix gets covered with this MASSIVE Dust Storm. It seriously came out of no where and Just covered the Entire Valley of the Sun.
The huge wall of dust was between 50 and 70 miles wide and one mile deep. The National Weather Service clocked wind gusts at more than 60 mph, which is nearly the strength of a Category 1 hurricane. The storm moved quite fast, whipping across the Valley at about 35 mph.
From Pima County ( just north of Tuscon, were the storm began)  to New River ( South to North, were friends and family of mine are still sweeping dust out of their homes) it is about 195 miles and from Casa Grande to Glendale is about 59 miles ( east to west), all of these areas were hit, and Phoenix the hardest!
All visibility was gone as far as travel went. Planes were grounded and freeways were covered to the point were you really couldn't drive! talk about freak storms!

this was taken by 3 tv and their cameras!
these are my grandparents motorcycles,
they were clean the other day,
now they look as if they have not
been touched in about 10 years!

A Pheonix Resident snapped this one!

this was taken just outside of downtown!

Crazy Right ?? I wonder what Mother Nature has in store next for Arizona!

Past Week

ok so this first post will cover this past week. From 6.23.2011 to 6.30.2011! My posts will not come once a week, this week has been really busy and crazy!

I had a photo shoot this week for my friend business, her name is Luna and she makes some incredible pieces! Anywhere from jewelery to hair accessories! You should most certainly check her etsy out! Here are some of the shots:

There are many more! they can be found in my portfolio on my website
you can follow her on Twitter and of Facebook

On Tuesday Luna and I had an amazing chance to meet Katie Cazoria, the star of a new reality show Nail Files on the TV Guide Network
Katie owns a business in LA called The Painted Nail! It really is an awesome reality show, I personally am not a fan of the Reality shows but this one is worth catching! you can see it on the TV Guide Channel on Tuesdays at 10/9c.

Now Luna and I both got to meet her when she was here in Phoenix, she and her mobile spa truck have been traveling  to a few different places and giving away free manicures when you come out!
The truck is very comfortable, big comfortable chairs, and a large 42" plasma screen.

Now while Luna was interviewing Katie, I was doing what I do best and taking pictures like this! We were out there for a few hours, Katie is very fun loving and she loves glitter! I had so much fun and I would like to thank her for the fun day!

you can follow Katie on Twitter  and on Facebook.

Fourth of july is coming up, and I am hoping to get some good shots of fireworks, We shall see how it goes! Hope everyone has a safe and fabulous 4th!
